Dear Friends,

As the holidays draw near and the year comes to a close, may your Christmas be bright with winter light, and may the new year unfold with peace.

In this final issue of the year, I share why Arnica cream has become a favorite of mine—how it is best used, and when it’s best avoided. Maine holds a deep place in my heart, and I’m delighted to feature a story about Wood Banks and the meaningful ways they are supporting their community. From Finland comes a surprising and innovative solution addressing the growing challenge of power-hungry data centers—an issue affecting many communities across the United States.

This issue’s Cabinet of Curiosity feels close to home, though it originates in Iceland, and is truly remarkable. The featured film is a powerful climate documentary that lays bare the realities of our global food system—while also offering genuine hope for a better path forward.

Onwards!
